Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English actress and model who gained notoriety during the 1990s as the girlfriend of Hugh Grant, is the former English model. In 1994 as Grant became the focus of worldwide media attention due to the worldwide box office success of his movie Four Weddings and a Funeral Hurley accompanied him to the film's Los Angeles premiere in a stunning black Versace dress held together with gold safety pins which gained the media's attention immediately. Hurley's relationship to Estee Lauder is her most lasting professional memory. Hurley began her modeling job with the company in the year she turned 29 years old. The company has employed Hurley as a brand model, especially for perfumes like Sensuous Intuitions as well as Pleasures. Her most famous film work was in the role of Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers the hit spy comedy International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley is currently a model and designer of an eponymous Beachwear line. I kissed a Girl a straightforward ode that expresses sexual desire accompanied by the beat of a hardedged electropop made her a larger splash a few months later. This song sparked controversy, and some critics accused that it promoted the same-sex relationship and others saying that the sexually explicit scene was created for men's fantasies. But the mixture of polished and titillating melody made I Kissed a Girl become a number one hit in a variety of countries and drove sales for her album One of the Boys (2008). With its bouncy sharp-tongued 2nd single Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of that Perry created herself ultimately registered greater than 3 million copies across the United States.
